“Fyi, enjoy na enjoy ako sa mga blogs mo. Minsan, nagagamit ko ‘yong ibang phrases doon ’pag nag-aaway kami ng asawa ko. Natatameme siya kasi kahit sinisigawan ko na siya, creative pa rin daw ang mga sinasabi ko…”
HAHAHAHA! When I got this text from one of my sisses two days ago, I really laughed my head off, courting quizzical looks from strangers inside the MRT. You know what sis, comments like that likewise inspire me to open my Friendster account and write entries every now and then.
And I want to write this time about who else but my brods and sisses who I have considered my second family since November 18, 1989 when I was finally welcomed as an official member of the UP Palaris Confraternity. Looking back, our bond sees me through especially on days I needed some reasons to be thankful and happy in this very pretentious world.
Here are some of them (in alphabetical order):
Jefran Baraquio: my brod who never fails to text back or call at once whenever I text him. I have a 101 reasons to thank him for and that deserve another entry (sa birthday mo na lang, brod.. hehehe).
Alma Fe Valeria Bascos: my ever reliable doktora-sis who willingly lends me a shelter whenever I am homeless in Manila. I am eternally grateful.
Alfred Bautista: my confidante and adviser on matters only an experienced and concerned brother has the authority to give an opinion about. Example, “How could I turn down a guy without hurting his feelings?”
Hapi and Christy Domingo: my pretty sisses who are also my loyal “blog readers”.
Yasmin Evangelista: my sis who knows 99% of my life story and never fails to make me laugh with her funny antics and punchlines.
Bayani and Rhodora Malicdem: my inspiration on still believing that “love conquers all”.
Gladys Paragas: another doktora-sis who is my partner in crime on matters related to health and medicine.. alam mo na ‘yon, sis. Hahaha!
Ronald San Juan: an epitome of excellence and intelligence. I’m still a fan.
To my brods, thank you for being the brothers that I never had. And to my sisses, thank you for giving me enough reasons to maintain this blog.
